Relative and Cumulative Effects of Climate and Land Use Change on Hydrological Ecosystem Services in Northeast China

چکیده

Climate change (CC) and land use (LUC) have been determined as two major environmental variables that broadly affect hydrological ecosystem services (HESs). However, the relative cumulative effects of CC LUC on HES at large spatial scales where there is great heterogeneity still unclear enough to support formulation update decision-making ecological management policies. This study has quantified spatiotemporal HESs (water yield, water purification, soil retention) from 1992 2020 in northeast China, evaluated contribution through setting scenarios using indicators (the Relative Importance Index Combined Effects Index). yielded following results: (1) From 2020, yield (WY) (+94.33 mm) retention (SR) (5.28 × 103 t/km2) both showed an upward trend nitrogen export (NE) indicating a decline purification (WP). (2) There was significant which included increases WY Sanjiang Plain; NE Songnen Plain (SNP), (SJP), Liao River (LJP); SR Greater Khingan Mountains (GKMR), Lesser (LKMR), Changbai (CBMR). (3) more affected by than LUC, especially SJP, eastern LRP, southern CBMR; western GKMR, southwestern SNP; GKMR; intensity gradually increased CBMR LKMR. (4) The effect contributed most regions but inhibited some regions; warming forestland expansion significantly WY. Our emphasizes current policies practices should consider maintain diverse ensure human well-being.

Effects of the land use change on ecosystem service value

The impacts of land utilization change on the ecosystem service values in Daqing during 1995 to 2015 were analyzed based on unit area ecosystem service value of Chinese territorial ecosystem from Mr. Xie Gaodi and ecosystem service value calculation formula from Costanza. Results showed that the ecosystem service value of Daqing decreased from US $4343.1559m in 1995 to US $3824.327m in 2015, wi...

Prediction of Land Use Change and its Hydrological Effects Using Markov Chain Model and SWAT Model

Access to current and future water resources is one of the concerned problems for managers and policymakers around the world. Because of the communication between water resources and land use, these two topics had come together in different researches. Scenarios designed in regional land planning provide the basis for analyzing the existing opportunities and making the right decisions for manag...

Implications of climate and land-use change for landscape processes, biodiversity, ecosystem services, and governance

This introduction to the Special Issue summarizes the results of 14 scientific articles from the interdisciplinary research program Ekoklim at Stockholm University, Sweden. In this program, we investigate effects of changing climate and land use on landscape processes, biodiversity, and ecosystem services, and analyze issues related to adaptive governance in the face of climate and land-use cha...

Impact of land use and land cover changes on ecosystem services in Menglun, Xishuangbanna, Southwest China.

Changing the landscape has serious environmental impacts affecting the ecosystem services, particularly in the tropics. In this paper, we report changes in ecosystem services in relation to land use and land cover over an 18-year period (1988--2006) in the Menglun Township, Xishuangbanna, Southwest China. We used Landsat TM/ETM and Quickbird data sets to estimate changes in ten land use and lan...

Monitoring and assessment of land use/land cover changes in Kashkan basin using futures studies approach in managing ecosystem services

Land use/cover change is one of the main factors in environmental changes. The changes directly affect the value of ecosystem services. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effect of land use/land cover change in the Kashkan area on its ecosystem services. This research was carried out in three stages, including the analysis of land cover changes, prediction of changes, and carbon st...
